"Animals creation wizard" dialog box

Introduction :

This wizard allows to create several animals at the same time according to the user fields.

To open the wizard :

To create several animals with the wizard, you can :

•Open the"Experiment" view and click on in the description de the experiment.

• Open the"Experiment" view and click on on the command ribbon.

•Open the"List of animals" view and click on on the command ribbon

The wizard has 2 steps :

First step :

Animal's name :

The name of the animal composed of 3 parts:

•a prefix (optional): an identical free text for all the animals.

•A different central part for the animals, which can be composed, as desired:

oa number with leading zeros ( for example: 001, 002, 003 ).

oa number (for example 1,1,3,...)

ouppercase letters (for example: A, B, C, .... AA, AB, ... )

olowercase letters (for example: a, b, c, ... aa, ab, ... )

•a suffix (optional): an identical free text for all the animals.

The name of each animal can be changed in step 2.

User fields :

The list of all user fields of category "animals" and type "choice".

Select the user fields for which you want to create animals by checking the corresponding box.

	Number of animals :
	This list displays all possible combinations of selected user fields. Click on the first column to specify the number of animals to create for each combination.

Assignment :

The order in which the animals will be created:

•Cyclic: 1 animal for each combination, then a second animal for each combination, etc., until the number of animals to be created for each combination is reached.

•By group: the number of animals to create for the first combination, then the number for the second combination, then ...

Once you are satisfied with the configuration clisk on "Next".

Second step :

This step presents the list of all the animals that will be created.

You can change the name of each animal individually if the naming rule specified in step 1 does not suit you.
